Day 1 – Munnar

On arrival at Cochin Airport / Railway Station you are met and transferred to Munnar. Munnar is a beautiful hill station covered with unending expanse of tea plantations, at an altitude ranging from 1600 to 1800 m above the sea level. This hill station was the favorite summer resort of European settlers for centuries. Sprawling tea plantations, picturesque towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Check in at Hotel Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 – Munnar

Breakfast at hotel. Later you are escorted for a sightseeing of Munnar covering Mattupetty Dam, Echo point, Tea museum and the Munnar town. Walk through the Hills kissing the clouds, breathing the sweet smell of Tea. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 – Munnar,Thekkady

After breakfast depart for Periyar. The sanctuary is an established tourist spot and home to elephants, tiger, bison, sambar, wild boar, langur etc. The artificial lake formed by the Mullaperiyar dam across the Periyar Lake adds to the charm of the park. Check in at Hotel. Later, go for a spice plantation visit where you can touch, smell and taste almost all the spices seen worldwide. Evening go for a boat safari inside the sanctuary to explore the wild life or a guided nature walk inside the sanctuary along with the naturalist. Over night at Hotel.

Day 4 – Thekkady,Alleppey

Morning after breakfast, you will get transferred to Alleppey Jetty. Check into the houseboat Relax and enjoy whilst the houseboat cruises through the waterways. Around 13:30 hrs, houseboat will stop for lunch on board 14:30 hrs it will continue its cruise covering the vast stretch of backwaters. Experience dream landscapes that are out of this world. Relish tea and snacks onboard. Overnight stay is arranged onboard houseboat.

Day 5 – Alleppey,Kumarakom

After breakfast, proceed to Kumarakom. Check in at the Hotel. Rest of the day free to relax. You can relax by having a rejuvanating ayurvedic baody massage (optional). Overnight stay at resort.

Day 6 – Kumarakom

Time to bid farewell!

Not a single nail is used in the making of a Kettuvallom.The material used for the making of Kettuvallom is all from the nature-Jack wood planks are joined together with coir ropes and beaten coconut fibres. The wood commonly used to make Kettuvallom is “Anhili”. Bamboo poles, bamboo mats, coir carpets etc is used for the making of Houseboats. These 80 feet long crafts have been adapted into luxuriously furnished houseboats. The interior of the houseboat is really unbelievable ? It’s a House on Water! Each houseboat is beautifully decorated with coir mattress on the floor. Houseboats normally have spacious living/dinning area and sun deck. It is attached with toilets, separate toilets for crew.
