Day 1 :

On arrival at Cochin Airport/Railway Station you are met and transferred to to Munnar. Munnar is a beautiful hill station covered with unending expanse of tea plantations, at an altitude ranging from 1600 to 1800 m above the sea level. This hill station was the favorite summer resort of European settlers for centuries. Sprawling tea plantations, picturesque towns, winding lanes and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2 :

Breakfast at hotel. Later you are escorted for a sightseeing of Munnar covering Mattupetty Dam, Echo point, Tea museum and the Munnar town. Walk through the Hills kissing the clouds, breathing the sweet smell of Tea. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 :

Morning after breakfast, you will get transferred to Alleppey Jetty. Check into the houseboat Relax and enjoy whilst the houseboat cruises through the waterways. Around 13:30 hrs, houseboat will stop for lunch on board 14:30 hrs it will continue its cruise covering the vast stretch of backwaters. Experience dream landscapes that are out of this world. Relish tea and snacks onboard. Overnight stay is arranged onboard houseboat.

Day 4 :

Breakfast in houseboat, later proceed to kovalam, and check in at Hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing of Trivandrum covering Padmanabhaswamy temple, Horse palace, Napier museum and kovalam beach. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5 :

Day at leisure.

Day 6 :

Time to bid farewell!

Traditionally, the houseboats were called Kettuvalom, which means a boat made by tying together pieces of wood. Not a single nail is used in the making of a Kettuvallom.The material used for the making of Kettuvallom is all from the nature-Jack wood planks are joined together with coir ropes and beaten coconut fibres. The wood commonly used to make Kettuvallom is “Anhili”. Bamboo poles, bamboo mats, coir carpets etc is used for the making of Houseboats. These 80 feet long crafts have been adapted into luxuriously furnished houseboats. The interior of the houseboat is really unbelievable ? It’s a House on Water! Each houseboat is beautifully decorated with coir mattress on the floor. Houseboats normally have spacious living/dinning area and sun deck. It is attached with toilets, separate toilets for crew. Spacious passage and neat kitchen. Clean towel and blankets are provided. Three workers are appointed on the houseboat, one cook and other two to drive the houseboat.
