The incredible landscape of the Inside Passage is home to diverse wildlife – orca, mountain goats, bald eagles, bears, puffins, sea otters and more – but the superstars of the area are the gentle giants who feed here every summer. Look out for the awesome acrobatics of breaching humpback whales. You’ll never forget the sight of these 40-ton beasts hurling themselves into the air, almost completely escaping the water. If you’re especially lucky, you could see them swimming together to create a bubble net, trapping and eating fish by the giant mouthful. Juneau, the capital of Alaska, was founded during a gold rush in 1880. Surrounded by fjords, forest and snow-capped mountains, Juneau is one gorgeous state capital. Its historic downtown harkens back to its gold-rush origins and you can still pan for gold. But nature is the priceless treasure and when you’re in Juneau, you shouldn’t miss the amazing glacial landscape. Nestled at the foot of Mt. Juneau in the Alaska Panhandle, it faces the water from the mainland side of Gastineau Channel. Several magnificent fjords are located along the channel coast, and the majestic Mendenhall Glacier, a favourite of visitors, is nearby. Overnight on board the cruise.

Among the sights to admire from the icy waters are waterfalls cascading down 3,000-foot-high granite walls. The glaciers are home to black and brown bears, wolves, deer and moose. Day 22 :

Overnight Cruise Alaska
After disembarking from the cruise, proceed on your half-day guided sightseeing tour of Seattle. The Emerald City is built on green hills, surrounded by water, and sandwiched between two mountain ranges. So, it’s no surprise that Seattle is renowned for its natural beauty and outdoor recreation, as well as for its hearty coffee (Seattle is home to the very first Starbucks coffeehouse) and quirky culture. Seattle’s most iconic attraction-the Space Needle-sits on the grounds of the Seattle Centre, originally the site of the 1962 World’s Fair. From the Space Needle’s saucer-shaped observation deck, visitors enjoy views of Puget Sound and the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges. For those who make the trip to the top after dark, the city’s expanse of shimmering lights is the big draw. Just a few steps from the Space Needle is one of Seattle’s newest attractions: Chihuly Garden and Glass showcasing the work of artist Dale Chihuly whose nature-inspired artworks and stunning chandeliers have been installed all over the globe. Just next door is the Experience Music Project (EMP) where you can learn about Seattle’s contributions to modern music, billionaire Paul Allen’s shrine to hometown hero Jimi Hendrix. EMP also has the world’s most extensive exhibition of memorabilia celebrating the band Nirvana. For those who prefer more soothing sounds, EMP has a wealth of exhibits related to classic rock, jazz, soul, gospel, country and the blues. Another of Seattle’s must-see sights is Pike Place Market which overlooks the Elliott Bay waterfront. More than a century old, the market is a place to meet farmers selling produce, artisans hawking specialty cheese and other food products, flower vendors, and fishmongers. In fact, the “flying fish” at the Pike Place Fish Market, where the mongers toss salmon, halibut and other fish back to those wrapping the product for buyers, is one of the most popular shows in town.
Good times need never end! As you get ready for the airport and your flight back home, relive the high points of your  American Bonanza with Alaska Cruise tour. We are confident you will join us again, sometime soon.
