Day 1 :
Assemble at Bangalore International airport, check-in and complete the immigration. Board the flight to Christchurch, New Zealand. On arrival at Christchurch, check in to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 :
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. Today travel around Christchurch covering the central city highlights including the Botanical Gardens, Museum and Art Centre, the Avon river, Bridge of Remembrance, the cities new pop up container mall and many other CBD highlights. Leave the inner city and travel to Mona Vale, an historic homestead and gardens, up to the Sign of Takahe, an historic building providing spectacular views over the city, Canterbury Plains and the Southern Alps, then over the Port Hills to the Port of Lyttleton, through the harbour tunnel to the seaside suburb of Sumner and cave rock before returning to the central city. Indian Lunch at Little India Bistro & Tandoor, Christchurch and Indian Dinner at Tandoori Palace Christchurch.
Day 3 :
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. Proceed to Queenstown via Mount Cook. Leaving Christchurch in the morning travel through diverse farmland to Lake Tekapo, where you can view the solitary Church of the Good Shepherd and take in the sights of the spectacular Southern Alps mountain range. Then continue to the location of New Zealand’s tallest mountain Aoraki Mount Cook. Continue south through the tawny tussock of the Mackenzie Country and Lake Pukaki. Conclude your journey in world famous Queenstown. (490 kms. 7 hrs. approx.). Buffet Lunch at Mackenzie Country Inn Twizel. Indian Dinner at Tandoori Palace Queenstown.
Day 4 :
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. Discover Milford Sound Coach-Cruise-Coach Ex. Queenstown. Take an unforgettable journey into the heart of Milford Sound. You’ll experience the world famous fiord – rich in dense rain forest, glacier carved valleys and beautiful waterfalls. Journey across the Southern Alps and travel deep into the Homer Tunnel, a 1.2km tunnel drilled through solid rock. Day 5 :
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant, proceed to Queenstown City Sightseeing. Today you may choose to travel around Queenstown and visit many of the city’s highlights including Lake Hayes, AJ Hackett Bungee Bridge, Historic Arrow town & Edith Cavell Bridge. Skyline Queenstown Gondola Ride. Marvel at the stunning views as you ride the Skyline Queenstown Gondola – the steepest cable car lift in the Southern Hemisphere! Sit back and relax as the best views in the region unfold before your eyes and the Gondola carries you 450 metres above Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu to the top of Bob’s Peak. En route you will enjoy a spectacular 220 degree panorama, with breath taking views of Coronet Peak, The Remarkable, Walter Peak, Cecil Peak and over Queenstown. On arrival the purpose built viewing platforms and outdoor terraces provide great photo opportunities. Depart Queenstown and drive north to Wanaka (68.80km, 1hr 5mins approx.) Wanaka. Indian Lunch. Day 6 :
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. Fly from Queenstown to Auckland. Indian Lunch at India Gate. Today see first-hand why Auckland is regarded as one of the best cities in the world to live in, as you enjoy this half day tour around the central city and picturesque suburbs. Journey begins with a short trip over the Harbour Bridge to the North Shore before returning to the central city to visit Queen street and the Auckland Viaduct. You will then drive along the scenic waterfront route of Tamaki Drive to the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park, in Mission Bay. A memorial to the first Labour Prime Minister of New Zealand and the founder of the welfare state. Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park has panoramic views over Whenua Rangatira, Auckland city and Waitemata Harbour. This park is a popular wedding and tourist venue, with formal gardens and perfect venue for flying a fabulous array of colorful and creative kites. Then return to downtown Auckland. Highlights: Harbour Bridge, Viaduct Harbour, Queen Street, Auckland Domain, Tamaki Drive, Michael Savage Memorial. Visit Sky Tower Auckland. Total tower experience includes: Visit to the 186 metre Main Observation Level, 182 metre Sky Lounge cafe and bar and 220 metre Sky Deck. Indian dinner at the hotel.
Day 7 :
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. Proceed to Rotorua. Say Good Bye to the “City of Sails” as you travel south to reach Bombay Hills and the market garden area of Pukekohe. Travel through Hamilton – New Zealand fourth largest city and the fertile Waikato region before reaching the “Thermal City” of Rotorua. (240 kms. 3.5 hrs approx.). Indian Lunch at Coconut Restaurant. After lunch, proceed to Rotorua City Sightseeing. Later proceed to AGRODOME to witness the Agrodome Agricultural Show, where you will be entertained by New Zealand’s performing sheep and other attractions. Later visit TE-PUIA thermal village known for its hot springs, geysers and boiling mud pools. Watch the Maori craftsmen and learn about the traditional arts of carving and weaving and RAINBOW SPRINGS to see the flora and fauna of New Zealand. Visit Agrodome Farm Show, the world famous Agrodome show is a “must-do” for any visitor to New Zealand. The show will take you through a fascinating insight into the world of New Zealand agriculture. During this multi award winning show you will be entertained and informed as a real kiwi shearer (black singlet and all) presents 19 breeds of champion sheep, shears a sheep using the world record Bowen technique, works noisy Huntaway and silent Strong-Eyed dogs and completes the dog trial. Day 8 :
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. Proceed to Auckland via Waitomo cave. Leaving Rotorua in the morning, travel through lush farmland including the intriguing Fitzgerald Glade where the roadside trees arch overhead to form a tunnel of natural greenery. On arrival in the small town of Waitomo enjoy a guided tour through the world-famous Waitomo Glow-worm Caves with their amazing stalactites, stalagmites and other limestone formations. We finish the tour with a silent boat ride through the Glow-worm Grotto – a subterranean cavern lit up by the lights of thousands of tiny glow-worms. Continue your journey and travel north to Auckland, through the beautiful King Country and Waikato regions. (Rotorua – Waitomo Caves: 138 kms. 2hrs approx.)
